W.J.M. "Bill" Mackenzie was one of two or three personalities who shaped the social sciences in British universities in the 1950s and 1960s. In these years he was also an adviser on. 7. Mackenzie emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1820 and became a general merchant. Responding to the discontent in Upper Canada now part of Ontario, he. William MacKenzie was an executor of John MacKenzie 's estate on 8 September 1915 in Victoria. William was registered as William Bannans McKenzie, farmer at Yarram on the 1931 electoral roll. William died of senility on 8 August 1941 in Gippsland Hospital, Sale, Victoria, aged 77. He was a widower and his usual residence was Traralgon.
